Tubing/Biking- Seth Mintz
Bike Hike/Tubing- Ariel Shakoohi
Today, we went on an extremely fun and challenging trip; a 32 mile bike hike and tubing. I and about 7 other campers along Rabbi Green and Rabbi Cooper had the courage and strength to take on the grueling bike ride. Riding behind Daniel Feldman , past half the 6 mile mark, we passed by a lady talking and walking with her goat and dog. It started hailing and raining, and thunder and lighting struck nearby and it was perfect timing because we were at the halfway mini mart and Rabbi Green bought us drinks and snacks. We waited a few minutes for the storm to calm down and then we made our way back. On the way back Rabbi Green and Daniel Walz were pedaling as hard as they can to beat Alex and I in the front, but apparently “age does make a difference”, and in the end we outplayed them by 5 minutes.. We may have gotten wet and dirty, but it made for a very memorable trip.

7/12-7/13 (Mishmar & Erev Shabbos)
On Thursday morning, after a late return from Hershey the night before, the guys
dragged themselves out of bed for another exciting day of camp. After an inspiring
learning groups, they had lunch and boarded the buses to go to Randallstown High
School where the leagues are played. It was another Baltimore hot summer day, but
they pushed through another intense couple of games. After nighttime open sports, the
guys returned to the Beit Medrash for our first Mishmar of the Summer. The campers
learned with the advisers for an hour and then Rabbi Green raffled off many awesome
prizes including steaks, Arizona Iced Teas, and even a fridge to use for the summer.
After the raffle, there was a Mishmar BBQ for the whole camp at 12:30 AM!
In Mishmar I learned that its not only about the prizes and even the learning torah, its about having fun and making sure you learned a lesson. And the prizes are just an
incentive. Me and two of my friends learned with my awesome learning Rebbe, Rabbi
Wiener. After Mishmar, Rabbi Green raffled off some awesome prizes and then there
was a camp-wide bbq – Yaakov Kamensky, Pittsburgh, PA
After one league game and a trip to Wal-Mart, we are now getting ready for our first full
Shabbos in camp, which promises to be exciting.
Shabbos- Yaakov Wolff
We ended a very exhausting and fun week with an uplifting shabbos. It started with kabbalas shabbos full of singing and dancing. Rabbi Granofsky [rosh yeshiva of Ohr David and rabbi green’s rabbi] joined us as a guest and spoke to us during davening. After the meal we enjoyed a Sphardi themed oneg, featuring rabbi wex in full fledged sephardic garb.
In the morning we davened and ate lunch, with lots of singing and cholent. In the afternoon we all relaxed and slept, and learned in the air conditioned bais medrash. Before mincha we ate Rita’s ices. After mincha we heard an inspiring shiur from Rabbi Green about making decisions regarding our religious life. We capped off shabbos with beautiful singing in the lunch room, with the lights off and the sun down.
Afer havdalah we all went to bowling, and ate Pizza, to get us started on another exciting week.

Day 1
Finally after a blackout delay, camp was finally underway this past Monday. During orientation, Rabbi Green pleasantly surprised us by telling us we were gonna kickoff camp with a BBQ dinner and a trip to the 4 Seasons Indoor Sports complex. We played soccer, football, basketball, wallyball, and even went swimming. On Tuesday we had our first day of leagues. It was an unusually cool (90 degrees!) day for Baltimore in the summer and we played all sorts of intense sports .We capped off an awesome first day of camp with exciting open sports until 10 o’clock at night!
